The Notice board area is available to anyone wishing to post a message to friends (old & new) who will be attending The Fylde Folk Festival. Looking for someone to share a car with to the Festival or somewhere to stay? Wanting to meet up with friends you made last year? This is the place to post that message. Messages sent during the Festival Weekend will be printed out and displayed at the festival.

Penny Dreadful

During the Festival copies of the 'Penny Dreadful' will be on sale at the Marine Hall Information Desk and at locations and events throughout the town. This is the Festival magazine to read, full of information, jokes, events etc. All money raised go to charity so give as much as you can afford and bring help and pleasure to others whilst you enjoy the music and events.

Come All Ye & Sing - Y2K1!

Do you play or sing? Then bring along your instrument, voice or both to the Mount Hotel Family room at 12.00 (High Noon)on Friday 31st August. The ideal place to start getting into the festival atmosphere, Gathering of support groups (Mudcatters? Q-Chorders? etc.) an informal sing around where everyone is welcome. Hosted by The Falcons own John Bond (CD Available), but chiefly Yourselves.

Talented Young People

Young people are encourage to join in and enjoy the festival. They can Learn or improve their musical skills at workshops or enter the Tallyman Competition, the winner of the Tallyman Competition is awarded the opportunity to perform in the final concert at the Marine Hall on Sunday evening. The future of the music lies in these young talented people so let's support and encourage them, please come along to the Young people's events and concerts - we think you'll be amazed at the talent and the abilities they demonstrate.

Festival Craft Fair

Want a new Musical Instrument?, CD, Tape, Record?, Pub Prop?, Bodhran?, Pick-up system?, Assorted Craft Products? Then call into the Craft Fair - lots of stalls - Selling everything from Toffee to Fylde Guitars, T-Shirts to the latest recordings.
Open Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd September, 2001 from 9.30am to 5.30 pm. Free to weekend ticket holders.

Jack Owen - where are you?

Anyone know the whereabouts of Jack Owen (wrote Mist Over the Mersey)? We knew one another in the 70's whilst he was at Poulton - would be great to meet up again!
