Upstairs in a tent are a band from Armagh in Northern Ireland. They play the traditional music of their native Ireland with a fire and passion that belies their 'tender' years. Ireland has always produced bands of the highest quality including Planxty, The Bothy Band, The Chieftains, Moving Hearts Clannad plus many more - "Upstairs in a Tent" are no exception.

Ushna are called after the old Irish name for the Hill of Tara where the ancient Kings of Ireland were once crowned. Through time the name also aquired the meaning 'roots' and it is thus very appropriate that this magical band should have chosen such a name, based as they are in what was once the Kingdom of Northumbria, an area boasting a rich Celtic heritage.
